Victoria Carlton

 

 

Victoria Carlton is the Director of the INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE: an organisation based in Western Australia that offers high quality courses for children, parents and teachers.

She is an international educator with over 35 years of teaching experience at all levels from early childhood to Secondary, specialising in literacy education, emotional intelligence, teaching children with learning difficulties and providing challenge programs for gifted and talented children.

She believes that ALL children are smart and so she designs high-quality programs that engage and enthuse children and make them WANT to learn!

Victoria has conducted many professional training courses for teachers and parents in Western Australia, NSW, SA, Tasmania, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Edith Cowan University and has specialised in the area of Children Who Learn Differently. Victoria is a member of the Australian College of Education and regularly conducts research into aspect of her field of education.

She has conducted many courses in Singapore with groups such as Singapore Institute of Management, NTUC and Early Childhood Associations, MOE and many Primary Schools. Victoria offers a consultancy service (inclusive assessment) to Singapore schools and parents to help children to achieve at high academic levels.

Victoria specialises in making learning fun! She has written and researched her own teaching model: CREAM and insists all the CREAM elements need to be present for effective, quality teaching to take place.

She has a Bachelor of Education degree from Edith Cowan University and has specialised in the area of Children Who Learn Differently. Victoria is a member of the Australian College of Education and regularly conducts research into aspect of her field of education. She is also the director of an organisation, THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE, and extensively uses JOLLY PHONICS to help West Australian children improve and succeed at literacy skills. She frequently travelled to the U.K. to meet the authors and publisher of JOLLY PHONICS and to check on current research in this area. She developed and conducted her own programs which are used with great success at her own centre in Australia and Singapore and Asia. Victoria’s highly effective literacy programmes were recently featured on the TV current affairs program, TODAY TONIGHT, to demonstrate and discuss the approach.
